Martina is a cultural journalist passionate about Slovak art, history, and storytelling. From 2000 to 2006, and again since returning to RSI in 2013, she has shared the best of it on air and online. She spotlights beauty and excellence in every performance and story, from exclusive artist interviews to hidden travel gems and Friday culture tips for expats. Martina has a deep respect for Slovakia's cultural heritage, and her favourite medium is the audio documentary. While working on her 2020 series, Tracing Rudolf Geschwind, she developed a personal interest in rose collecting. A hardy swimmer, she loves family trips and catching up with former RSI colleagues turned friends.

Kamila Kamala Galjuš
Joining Radio Slovakia International in 2023 wasn’t Kamila’s first experience in journalism, as she had previously been part of the minority broadcast team at Slovak Radio. At RSI, she covers topics such as minority cultures in Slovakia — especially Romani culture — as well as stories about Slovak expats abroad and the translation scene in Slovakia, having studied Slovak and English translation at university. In her free time, Kamila enjoys music, literature, travelling, and a nice cup of tea. You can hear Kamila’s voice every other Wednesday on RSI.

Romana Grajcarová
With a double Master’s degree in English and French translation, Romana gained her first journalistic experience through an internship at the European Parliament before joining Radio Slovakia International in 2019. Her reporting focuses primarily on culture, the environment, and societal issues. A passionate music lover, Romana plays the guitar and ukulele, enjoys swimming, reading, and exploring good food. You can hear her voice every Thursday on RSI.

Jeremy Hill
Originally from the United States, Jeremy moved to Slovakia in 2009 with his Slovak wife and daughter. A lifelong educator, he ventured into audio storytelling with his podcast Na Slovensku Aj Po Anglicky, which explores the migrant experience in Slovakia. Drawing on his background in podcasting and his degree in natural resources management, Jeremy joined the RSI team in 2023 to produce stories on the environment, sustainable living, and life as a migrant in Slovakia. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, spending time with his family, and—true to form—complaining about the weather. You can catch his features every other Wednesday.

Ben Pascoe
Ben hails from Canada but has been living in Slovakia for more than 20 years. He enjoys reading and drinking a beer while arguing about current affairs. When he is not busy searching for interesting stories for his radio show, he teaches English and runs a small café/used bookstore. He has made Bratislava his home and lives there with his wife and 2 children, all of whom enjoy laughing at his frequent Slovak language mistakes.

Brielle Zahn
Though Brielle takes care of the web & social accounts at RSI, she’s been an English language and literature teacher for nearly 20 years and a perinatal doula and educator for the past decade. She lives with her husband and their 4 kids in central Slovakia, where their life is filled with homesteading and homeschooling. Though her current life stands, in many ways, in stark contrast to her fast-paced upbringing in the suburbs of NYC, she still can’t shake the drive to stay busy and wildly curious about the world. In addition to time with her family, Brielle fills her cup with reading, baking, trips to the theater & ballet, and a magical earring business she runs with her daughters.
