Slovak pavilion at Expo 2015 Milano opens its doors

In less than a day the Expo 2015 in Milan will open. The theme of this universal exhibition is - "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life". Slovakia is one of the 145 countries taking part in this event. Its pavilion is called Recharge Yourself. As the website of the pavilion informs it will be a relaxing space that is dominated by an energy pylon. Here a visitor can take a break, recharge their energy, sit on a comfy bag and charge a mobile phone, tablet or laptop. Visitors will also have a chance to explore Slovak mineral springs, water sources, crops, as well as traditional specialties and typical Slovak dishes that they will be able to sample directly in the restaurant. The exposition interior will further show visitors the diversity of Slovakia, unique Slovak folk traditions such as musical instruments, ornaments presented through attractive modern sculptures by the Slovak artist Tomáš Berka. The Slovak pavilion covers a total area of more than 1,000 square meters. The pavilion will be located in the exclusive zone, right next to the pavilions of Japan, Russia and Qatar, and near Germany, Austria, USA, Monaco and Italy. The exposition, including the creative concept, the production and operation of the pavilion will cost €2.3 million. The Expo 2015 in Milan is opened to visitors between 1 May and 31 October 2015.
