Slovenské Elektrárne wants to publish documentation on Gabčíkovo plant

Slovak power producer Slovenské Elektrárne (SE) asks for the state's consent to publish the complete dossier to the hydroelectric power plant in Gabčíkovo, the company wants to make the contract public regarding the operation of the plant. "The people of Slovakia have the right to know the truth. The minutes of the meetings, three contracts, correspondence and auditors' reports should be made available," stressed SE. The company, which a majority is owned by the Italian group Enel, addressed this letter to the state-owned company Vodohospodárska výstavba, as well as relevant national authorities and auditors. In early December the Government decided to terminate the lease contract for the Gabčíkovo plant with Slovenské Elektrárne. The state is expected to take the plant into its own hands in early March of next year.
