Protests continue today in seven cities, including Bratislava, Košice and Banská Bystrica. "During the rally, we will jointly call on President Peter Pellegrini not to sign the so-called 'Russian law', which threatens independent organisations and civil society in Slovakia," representatives of the Peace Ukraine initiative, the organiser of protests, stated. Lucia Szabová from Platform for Democracy, writer Michal Hvorecký and Andrej Vršanský, director of the League for Mental Health, will speak in Bratislava. Slovak MPs passed the amended law on non-governmental organisations on April 16.
