Parliament will discuss the government's proposed amendment to the Civil Aviation Act in a fast-tracked legislative procedure, MPs decided on Wednesday.
The Transport Ministry prepared the proposal in connection with foot-and-mouth (FMD) disease. If the amendment is approved by Parliament, the ministry will be able to restrict or ban civil flights in specific parts of Slovak airspace to prevent the spread of infectious animal diseases.
