Drawing of old EU funds by June grew to almost 74 percent

Out of the total allocation of €14.5 billion, a total of €10.67 billion has been used up from the old EU funds (2014-2020) as of June 30. €3.83 billion remains to be spent. Vice-Premier for the Recovery and Resilience Plan and the Use of EU Funds Livia Vasakova: "We're moving from 70.41 percent of the used money to 73.58 percent. The use for the last month was in the amount of €458 million. We also adopted the government's resolution, where we try to continue to make the process of using up the old European funds more efficient, for example, by simplifying the public procurement process."

She added that the ministries will have the task of finding alternative measures in case the contracted projects can't be implemented. These are so-called quick measures so that we can use up the money by the end of the year.

According to Vasakova, other tasks connected with EU funds are projects of individual Ministries and Recovery and Resilience Plan projects. These include quantum communication technology and supercomputer, and acquisition and renovation of court buildings as well as a grant for online final exams for high school students project.
