It pointed however to the risk of decelerated growth on the part of Slovakia‘s business partners and the global economy.
Unemployment in Slovakia could fall to 13 or even 12 percent this year, several analysts told the TASR news agency on Monday, commenting on the latest unemployment statistics released earlier in the day by the Labour Office. They warned that the statistics might be affected in a rather negative way towards the end of the year by an increased number of young jobless. "Though the jobless rate could be expected to fall slightly in the summer months, it will still remain considerably high. On top of that, unemployment is likely to go up a little bit towards the end of the year”, said Poštová Banka analyst Dana Vrabcová.
