The first combined regional elections in Slovakia are over. Slovakia knows the names of mayors of towns and villages and the new heads of self-governing regions. In two of the eight regions there have been changes in the leadership. Of the eight regional capitals in Slovakia, only the city of Presov elected a new mayor, with the rest retaining their incumbent mayors. We bring you the first reactions of the newly elected candidates and details of voter turnout.
