PCR COVID-19 tests will be free of charge even apart from cases in which someone has come into contact with an infected person, but the coalition is still discussing the numbers, Health Ministry spokeswoman Zuzana Eliasova announced on Monday (July 19). "The exact number is still being discussed - we're inclined towards two PCR tests per month," said Eliasova, adding that while antigen testing will no longer be free, it will incur only a handling fee of €5. Eliasova added that these were the conclusions of a Coalition Council session that was held on Monday. She noted that the rules won't change until August 9 and that all the aforementioned measures will come into force only at that date.
