The antigen tests that Slovakia has stored in the warehouses of the State Material Reserves Administration will expire in 2022 and 2023. Health Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Eliasova announced this on Tuesday, adding that they will be available if the epidemiological situation worsens and if they are needed for testing.
The Head of the State Material Reserves Administration chairman's office Natalia Petrikova confirmed that the state has approximately 12 million such tests in stock.
The Health Ministry added that 120 mobile testing points are currently open throughout Slovakia for PCR testing, with a total capacity of 30,000 tests per day. "If the epidemiological situation worsens, the Health Ministry can increase the testing capacity to 200 PCR testing sites within 24 hours," added Petrikova.
