Slovakia corrects wrong reporting of Covid data

As of Thursday, June 3, Slovakia should appear on the travel map of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) based on the correct data. For several days, Slovakia appeared as a high-risk country due to the wrong reporting of Covid data, which had an impact on travelling from the country. The problem lied in the wrong calculation of the data about the number of cases and the positivity rate. The Public Health Authority has acknowledged the failure, stating that they have been communicating intensively with the ECDC for several days now. Deputy Foreign Minister Martin Klus expects Slovakia to be yellow, or even green, after the ECDC reviews the correct data. "We have been aware of this problem for three weeks, and we have alerted our colleagues who are competent in it," he emphasized. He assumes that the countries for which Slovakia is currently red will soon reconsider this.
