Inoculation with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine against coronavirus could be launched in Slovakia in two weeks, Health Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Eliášová announced on Tuesday.
According to Eliášová, the ministry expects 46,500 Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses to arrive in Slovakia by the end of May. "Given its storage possibilities, as well as the fact that it's single-dose, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is thought to be best suited for inoculation by mobile vaccination teams," she said.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been greenlighted both by the WHO and the European Medicines Agency (EMA). In the European Union, for the time being, it has been designated for vaccinating people aged over 18.
