New vaccination rules for chronically ill

According to new rules to come into effect in May, chronically ill patients with serious and moderate diseases that significantly increase the risk of developing a severe form of Covid-19 will be vaccinated with priority, no matter their age. They will receive the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines. The Health Ministry has made a list of diagnoses to which the new rules apply, which includes for example diabetes, oncological and autoimmune disease, as well as obesity. The Health Ministry added that those interested must register as chronically ill patients via the online form used by all categories of people. The system will then match up the data from the registration forms with those of public health-insurance companies. These rules will apply also to foreign residents who either are regular clients of public health insurance companies or have an S1 form registered with one of them.
