Slovak Medical Chamber complains about police controls

The Slovak Medical Chamber is submitting a complaint to the Office of the Inspection Service. The reason lies in the recent police inspections of general practitioners' outpatient clinics in the Košice region. The Chamber's President Marián Kollár called the controls disgraceful and humiliating. According to him, the chamber claims that doctors are in their clinics and if patients cannot reach them by phone, it is probably due to other reasons rather than their absence. The police in the Košice Region monitored doctors last week, especially in connection with the deteriorating situation in hospitals. The inspections were carried out by non-uniformed police officers.
