Slovakia has received various forms of international help after its death rate of COVID-19 patients was the worst in the world in recent days. The country has accepted a donation of 15,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine against coronavirus from France. Germany took two Slovak patients into its care, several were admitted to hospital in Poland, while Romania has sent health-care professionals to Slovakia.
