Throughout Thursday-Friday (February 11-12), heads of schools were to be sent a digital link to allow teachers to register appointments for inoculation against the novel coronavirus. Education Minister Branislav Grohling (SaS) announced on Thursday. Heads of schools, however, complained on Thursday of the non-working system of appointments which is missing the option "teacher" as a group of liable citizens. According to the Education Ministry, teachers are to be divided into two age groups. Those under 55 should start receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine as of this weekend, whereas employees over 55 are slated to be inoculated as of Monday (February 15). The vaccination of teachers will be carried out in Bratislava, Presov, Kosice, Martin, Zilina, Trnava, Liptovsky Mikulas, Dolny Kubin, Nitra and Banska Bystrica. The programme is slated to last over the next three weekends.
