75,000 people set to be vaccinated this week

Health Minister Marek Krajci (OLaNO) announced on Saturday following his visit to a vaccination centre in Trencin that a total of 75,000 people should be vaccinated against COVID-19 over the course of next week. "Given how many people are infected with the British, more aggressive variant of novel coronavirus, we had to change the vaccination strategy. The variant poses more danger especially to middle-aged people, but it can also cause infection symptoms to children. That's why we decided that we'll prioritise teachers..." stated Krajci. At the same time, the minister claimed that Slovakia has already used all doses of the vaccines it received in December and January.
