Care home and social workers’ vaccination begins

Employees of care homes and outreach social workers can have themselves vaccinated against COVID-19 in six  centres in the country as of Monday. Meanwhile, an online COVID-19 vaccine registration form for medical and social workers was launched on Saturday. The Health Ministry has stated that staff who take care of and treat COVID-19 patients will be prioritised, but the form can also be completed by those who provide indirect help in taking care of such patients. This mainly concerns students of medicine as well as employees of companies contracted to clean hospitals. The six vaccinations centres for such personnel are located in Bratislava (three centres) Nitra, Banská Bystrica and Košice. The Health Ministry noted that the number of such centres will be gradually increased, probably as of January 10.
