People who tested positive for coronavirus will be obliged to announce this fact to those with whom they have been in close contact in the previous two days, as part of a decree of the Public Health Office introducing self-tracing as of Tuesday, December 22nd. These contacts should self-isolate starting on the same day for a period ending ten days from the date on which they met the infected person. They can go for a PCR test, which is to be done no earlier than the 5th day after the date of contact with the infected person, or, if they have no symptoms, they can choose to stay in self-quarantine for 10 days without a test.
Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will be allowed to leave their home isolation to procure life-essential goods, if they can't get anyone else to purchase them on their behalf. In such a case, however, they must wear an FFP2 respirator and comply with rules of hand hygiene. Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 yet develop no clinical symptoms may attend the funeral of a close family member or loved one, on the condition not only that they wear an FFP2 respirator and observe hand hygiene, but also observe a social distancing of at least 2 metres from everyone else.
