As of Monday November 9, a new decree of the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic has been in force, regulating the obligations of persons after entering and leaving the territory of the Slovak Republic.
- As of Monday, people entering Slovakia across the border with Ukraine will have to be tested with antigen tests.
- People with residence in Slovakia and studying in Czechia as well as Czech residents studying in Slovakia are obliged to show an official statement provided from school that they are pursuing their studies on site.
- On arriving from a so called red country, people working in culture no longer need to give notice about home self-isolation to the Regional Public Health Authority. There only is a need to report to the personal doctor in this case and register on the government's website https://korona.gov.sk/en/ehranica/.
- As of Monday, rules on the 30-kilometre limit for movement beyond borders for pendlers have changed. The 30-kilometre limit is cancelled for residents in Slovakia who work abroad. People only have to show a proof of their employment at the border.
- However, the 30-kilometre limit remains in force for people with their residence in a foreign country, who work in Slovakia. The limit remains in force even for Slovak citizens who are residents of a foreign country and work in Slovakia.
