Slovakia registered nearly 2,000 users of the eQuarantine application who had either crossed the state border or were released into home quarantine by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Interior Ministry spokesman Petar Lazarov. "A total of 1,613 people are already at home," he said. The state launched the trial operation of the so-called smart quarantine on Saturday evening (23 May) at the Petržalka-Berg border crossing. Other border crossings are being gradually included. The application can only be downloaded onto smartphones running the Android operational system for now, as it has already been approved by Google. The app will be available for iPhones only after its approval by Apple.
