Slovakia will contribute an amount of €750,000 to the development of a vaccine against the new coronavirus, Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korčok (a Freedom and Solidarity/SaS nominee) said on Monday, on the occasion of an international donor event called Coronavirus Global Response, organised by the European Commission (EC) together with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The event aims to raise funds totalling €7.5 billion in order to finance accelerated research into the vaccine, essential diagnostics, and treatment of COVID-19.
