Slovak measures against the crisis lag behind other countries

Slovakia's measures against the crisis occurring due to the coronavirus pandemic are lagging behind other European countries. This stems from a study conducted by the Center for Public Policy. In addition to Slovakia, the study examined the new measures in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Slovakia lags most behind these countries in loan aid, where all studied countries already have a loan scheme. Moreover, the study further points to the fact that not only is the assistance provided by the Slovak Government the least generous, it is also the narrowest in terms of qualifying for the assistance, and so far it has been the slowest in its distribution. Other countries responded more quickly to the crisis and used significant financial volumes.
