Small shops reopen

The first phase of Slovakia's exit strategy from the coronavirus lockdown approved by the Central Crisis Management Team was launched on Wednesday. Shops and outlets smaller than 300 square metres are now open as well as catering services serving food through a window, outdoor facilities for non-contact sports (without spectators, changing rooms or toilets), establishments for long-term accommodation, outdoor markets, car showrooms and used car sales points. As of Wednesday, the special shopping hours for the elderly are 9-11 a.m. on work days, meaning that people aged 65 or older are forbidden to shop at any other time.
