At the international exposition Expo 2015 which is to be held in Milan, the Slovak exposition will be located in a lucrative spot, right next to Japan and Russia. The topic of the Slovak pavilion at Expo 2015, which will be some 1,000 meters squared big, will be - Slovakia, World in the pocket, stated general commissioner of the Slovak exposition Martin Polák.
As he stated they are working hard on making the presentation of Slovakia at Expo to be creative, interesting and have a direct influence on the development of tourism and economy in Slovakia. Preparations for the event have already started. The Economy ministry published a public procurement for a supplier of the exposition. They should have the results in the first half of the year 2014 and in the summer works on the pavilion should start. It is expected that Slovakia will invest some €2.7 million which is about a third of what the neighbouring Czech Republic will be investing in their exhibition. The EXPO exhibition is one of the most acclaimed world exhibitions presenting countries. Expo 2015 is to take place in the Italian town of Milan and will be opened from May to October of that year. The light-motive of the exhibition is ‘Feeding the planet, energy for life’.
