Slovak hotels snap up awards

Elizabeth Hotel in Trenčín has been awarded a 2016 World Luxury Hotel Award, making it the regional winner in the Romantic Hotel category, reports TASR. The winners of the competition, whose results were declared in Doha on October 29, were chosen by visitors from all around the world and a panel of experts in three rounds.

"The award is primarily an expression of satisfaction of our guests with hotel services. Their satisfaction is a reflection of the hard work and enthusiasm of our employees," stated hotel director Sylvia Holopová.

Likewise, Hotel Hviezdoslav in Kežmarok gained awards last week by the organization Historic Hotels of Europe. On Saturday (29/10) the business gained a World Luxury Hotel Award in the category Historic Hotel of the Year 2017.

Other Slovak winners awarded by Historic Hotels of Europe include Château Gbeľany, winning in the Historic Hotel New Member Award 2017, Villa Nečas in Žilina being nominated for a Historic Hotel Gourmet Award, Château Béla being nominated for a Historic Hotel Wedding Experience Award, and Grandhotel Starý Smokovec, nominated for a Historic Hotel with "A Story to Tell" Award.

The organisation Historic Hotels of Europe aims at promoting the cultural values ​​and traditions of different peoples through a variety of historic buildings, castles, mansions and townhouses.
