Top statesmen send condolences to bus crash victims

President Andrej Kiska and Prime Minister Robert Fico both expressed sorrow over the five victims of the Tuesday's bus accident in Serbia. A coach operated under the Aeolus travel agency with 31 Czechs and Slovaks on board was returning from Greece when it drove off the road. The crash claimed the lives of three Slovaks and two Czechs. "I'm in touch with my colleagues from the Serbian embassy in order to be able to reach a helping hand wherever necessary", wrote PM Fico on Facebook. The interior ministry sent the Slovak state aeroplane Air Force One for the victims with a team of psychologists on board. The plane with 23 tourists, including 10 Czechs landed in Bratislava on Tuesday evening. They had all bruises but no injuries said the Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák who was also on board. He discussed the case with the Serbian officials. "The investigation is still in progress. The vehicle was thoroughly examined and no faults were found. The road was dry and there was no obstacle on it. Therefore it seems that the human factor could have been the cause,"said Kaliňák. The agency also reacted quickly. "The owner of the Aeolus Travel Agency immediately went to the place of the accident and, of course, we will provide transport to all tourists back to their homes in Slovakia and the Czech Republic,"said Viera Ložeková from the Aeolus travel agency. Two more women stayed in Serbia. One of them suffered severe injuries, however, is now is a stabile condition. Five victims of the tragedy will be transported in the upcoming days, as legal procedures need to be carried out.
