So far so good; Slovaks Win Opening Games at Ice Hockey World Championship

The Slovak ice hockey team defeated Norway 2-1 in their opening game at the 89th World Championship in Switzerland. In Saturday’s Group B match in Fribourg, Kristián Pospíšil and captain Marek Hrivík each scored a goal.

They also succeeded in their second game. In Sunday’s Group B match in Fribourg, they defeated Italy 4-1.

The Slovaks will play their next game after a day off on Tuesday, May 19, at 8:20 p.m. against Slovenia.
