Slovakia left the 2026 Winter Olympic Games without a medal — the first time since the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics that the country has failed to reach the podium.
At the Games in Italy, Slovakia was represented by 53 athletes competing across eleven sports. The strongest showing came from the men’s ice hockey team, which narrowly missed out on a medal with a fourth-place finish. The women’s 4×6 km biathlon relay team placed tenth, while Petra Vlhová finished 20th in the slalom. Andreas Žampa secured 21st place in the giant slalom among 91 competitors, Hektor Kapustík also placed 21st on the large hill, and Adam Hagar finished 24th.
Despite several solid performances and near misses, Slovakia was unable to add to its Olympic medal tally this time.
