Slovak tennis player Mia Pohánková finished third at the ITF World Tour Junior Finals in Chengdu, China.
Seeded third, the 17-year-old defeated Britain’s Hannah Klugman 6–2, 6–3 in Sunday’s bronze medal match, wrapping up the win in just 53 minutes.
Pohánková recorded four victories in five matches at the season-ending junior tournament. She topped Group B with a perfect record before falling to top-seeded American Kristina Penickin the semifinals, 3–6, 6–7 (8).
