Slovakia’s national football team beat Luxembourg 2–0 in Trnava on Monday in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Goals from Adam Obert and Ivan Schranz secured Slovakia’s third win in Group A, placing the team second behind Germany. Midfielder Ondrej Duda described it as “a tough but important match.” Slovakia will next face Northern Ireland in Košice on November 14.Only group winners will qualify automatically for the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, while runners-up will enter the play-offs.
