Slovakia’s women’s C1 team of Soňa Stanovská, Emanuela Luknárová and Zuzana Paňková finished fourth at the World Canoe Slalom Championships in Penrith, narrowly missing a medal after a British penalty was overturned. The men’s C1 team of Michal Martikán, Marko Mirgorodský and Matej Beňuš placed ninth. In the individual kayak cross, Jakub Grigar also finished just off the podium in fourth place on Monday.
