Slovak cyclist Viktória Chladoňová won her second medal at the World Championships in Rwanda. On Thursday, she won silver in the mass start race in the women's under-23 category.
“I had a fall during the race, even though it was my riding mistake, so it was a bit of a stupid fall. I tried to quickly recover, check my bike and catch up with the group and everything seemed to be OK. Then I tried to recover and focus on the second half of the race,” Chladoňová said in a video by the Slovak Cycling Federation (SZC).
She was very active in the second half of the race.
"In the last two rounds, I tried to break the pack and also test my opponents' skills. I felt very good and I think it worked, my opponents were slowly dropping out and they were more tired, which suited me. I think it was a good decision," said the young Slovak representative, who thus expanded her medal collection.
