Young Slovak Cyclist Chladoňová Takes Silver at World Cycling Championships

Slovak cyclist Viktória Chladoňová won silver in the women’s under-23 individual time trial at the World Championships in Rwanda. The 18-year-old, competing in this category for the first time, said she gave it everything and was proud to stand on the podium. Gold went to Britain’s Zoe Bäckstedt, while Slovakia’s Sofia Ungerová finished 24th. For Chladoňová, it’s another major success after junior medals last year and strong results this season, including a national title and appearances at the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta.
