Slovak Muay Thai fighter Monika Tadlánek Chochlíková has won a bronze medal at the World Games in Chengdu, China.
On Sunday, she narrowly defeated Hungary’s Anna Székely in the under-54-kilogram category by points, 29 to 28.
Chochlíková is the reigning two-time world champion in this weight class. This marks her third World Games medal, having won gold in Birmingham three years ago in the under-51-kilogram category, and silver in kickboxing at the 2017 Games in Wroclaw.
Following Sunday’s competition in Chengdu, Slovakia’s overall medal tally stands at one silver, earned by orienteer Tereza Šmelíková, and one bronze.
