Slovan Bratislava lost 1-0 away to Kazakhstan’s Kairat Almaty in the first leg of the Champions League third qualifying round on Wednesday. The only goal came in the 90th minute from a penalty converted by 16-year-old Dastan Satpayev, awarded after a controversial foul.
Slovan played with ten men from the 65th minute following a red card to Rahim Ibrahim. The return leg is set for Tuesday evening at Tehelné Pole, with the winner advancing to face Celtic Glasgow in the playoff round.
