Slovak swimmer Tamara Potocká won the silver medal in the 50-meter butterfly at the European Under-23 Championships held in Šamorín.
In Saturday’s final, she finished second with a new national record time of 25.86 seconds. This beat the previous Slovak record of 26.24 seconds, set by Lilian Slušna, who finished sixth in the same race.
This silver is Potocká’s second medal from the European Championships at home. She also won bronze earlier in the 200-meter breaststroke event.
