Slovakia will host the Ice Hockey World Championship in 2029 for the third time in its history. The decision was confirmed by the IIHF Congress on Friday in Stockholm, with Slovakia being the sole candidate. Games will take place in Bratislava and Košice, just as in 2011 and 2019. The Slovak Ice Hockey Federation had presented its readiness to the IIHF earlier this year. Despite past struggles on home ice, Slovakia looks forward to welcoming the world’s top teams once again.
