It was 30 years ago that lovers of American football here in Slovakia formed the Bratislava Monarchs. The team now plays in the highest Czech league, plus has a junior team and 2 youth touch football teams. Hundreds of fans attend home games, which have a very welcoming feel, even for those who don’t know anything about American football. At the start of the jubilee season, Ben Pascoe attended the home opener and met with players to find out more about this team and the community it's built.
