Slovak basketball coaching legend Natália Hejková concluded her European League career with another triumph with ZVVZ USK Praha, marking her victory after a ten-year wait. Hejková expressed her focus on maintaining the lead during the final match against Turkey’s Mersin. She appreciated the warm reception in Zaragoza, particularly the fan chants honouring her. At 71, Hejková, a member of the FIBA Hall of Fame, won her fifth European League title, having triumphed before with Ružomberok and Spartak Moscow. Reflecting on the game, she noted her team’s resilience after Mersin closed the gap, and credited their defence for securing the 66-53 victory.
