Many would say that the famous cycling race Tour de France has a distinctive Slovak element. First and foremost, it involves the phenomenal Slovak cyclist Peter Sagan; 4 times consecutive winner of the green jersey for the best sprinter. He entertains millions of spectators not only by his cycling skills, but also by his laid back humour and jocular gestures in front of the cameras. Even when standing on the podium at the Champs Elysees in Paris receiving his trophy, Sagan -like a grown up child - played with the crystal cup as if he was an action hero and the trophy was his gun. While mentioned these crystal awards, which the cyclists have been receiving since the 2012 edition of Tour de France, it should be added that these are yet another Slovak contribution to this famous race. They were designed by the Slovak designer Peter Olah. Zuzana Botiková brings you his story.
