We didn’t feel like we were doing anything brave – we just felt like we had to do something,“ says the co-founder of an initiative Mladí Ukrajine, Kristína Uhlíková, who was one of the guests of this Thursday show. We are going to take you to a small village near Kyiv called Pidhajne, where Slovak volunteers from the initiative Mladí Ukrajine return again and again to support communities affected by war. Through rebuilding homes, organising camps for children, and simply being present, they offer more than just practical help – they build relationships and bring a sense of solidarity.
You are going to hear from Kristína Uhlíková and participant Martin Letko, who will share their experiences from the ground, reflect on the everyday reality of war, and explain why even small acts of help can make a meaningful difference.
