Blood groups 0, A, B and AB with negative Rh factor are borderline. The National Transfusion Service (NTS) of the Slovak Republic announced this on its website. It is calling on people to come and donate blood. "We are recording a decrease in blood product supplies, we are still supplying hospital facilities without restrictions, but if supplies continue to decrease, the smooth supply of hospitals may be threatened," explained the NTS. Anyone aged 18 to 60, weighing at least 50 kilograms and meeting basic health requirements can become a blood donor. Men can donate blood every three months and women every four months. All current guidelines for blood donation can be found on the website www.ntssr.sk.
