The 15th annual Rainbow Pride Festival took place in Bratislava this weekend, highlighting the call for equality and rights for the LGBT+ community.
This year’s theme, "Culture of Freedom," drew around 14,000 participants, according to organizers. The event featured a march through the capital and a full accompanying program.
In light of last year’s foiled terrorist plot targeting the parade, security was noticeably tighter, with a strong police presence to ensure safety.
Many marchers said they came to stand up for their community and to show that love knows no boundaries—regardless of gender, race, or orientation.
