President calls for unity among Slovakia's minority communities

Slovak President Peter Pellegrini underscored the importance of diversity and peaceful coexistence among national minority communities in Slovakia during a roundtable discussion with minority representatives on Monday. He stressed that Slovakia’s strength lies in its diversity and called for ethnic differences not to be a reason for quarrels or polarisation.

The president further highlighted the ongoing call for a new law on national minorities, conceding that discussions on minority languages and the Slovak state language should involve their representatives.

Addressing migrant issues, Pellegrini plans to raise concerns regarding bureaucratic challenges and family reunification with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
