The summer boating season at Štrbské Pleso officially resumed on Friday, as rowboats were launched onto the lake following the winter break.
A total of 20 boats are now available to the public. According to Lukáš Brodanský, marketing manager of the High Tatras mountain resort, boating remains one of the most frequented seasonal activities in the area.
The tradition of boating on Štrbské Pleso dates back 140 years, with this year marking the 18th season since the activity was reintroduced in its current form.
Boats will remain available throughout the summer, depending on weather and lake conditions.
