Oral final exams begin in Slovak high schools

Oral final exams for secondary school students in Slovakia begin on Monday and will run until 13 June. Nearly 41,000 students are expected to take part. For the whole upcoming week, students will be examined orally by expert panels. Exam dates are set by individual schools and approved by regional education authorities. Make-up exams may be scheduled in September or February of the following year. Students have up to three years after graduation to retake their matriculation exams, the ministry added.
