Recently there has been a lot of talk in Slovakia about NGOs and where they get their funding and if they are acting against the government or are foreign agents. But civil society has played a very important role in the short history of modern Slovakia.
Laco Oravec is a human rights activist who has been working in civil society for decades. Currently he is the vice-chair of the antena network of independent cultural centres. He sat down with Ben Pascoe to discuss the state of NGOs and civil society in Slovakia today.
