A folk legend, a peacenik and a fighter for social change, Joan Baez came to Bratislava in mid October and reignited many memories. In 1989, just before the Velvet revolution, during her performance in Bratislava she felt “electricity” in the air. This concert became a symbol, like the last drop before the cup flowed over for the Communists.
