Slovak landscape at its finest

Slovak landscape at its finest

Want to see the Slovak countryside? What about seeing it concentrated into one gallery? The Slovak national gallery in Bratislava has just recently opened an exhibition dedicated to Slovak landscape art, called Dve krajiny, or in English Two countries.

What are those two countries, and where are they located? Well, in both cases is is about Slovakia, however, first as seen by 19th century artists and then compared with modern visual approaches.

The exhibition Dve krajiny will be open to the public until 19th October, 2014 in the Esterhazy palace of the Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava. For those of you who won’t make it to Bratislava by then, the gallery has also opened a virtual view of the exhibition, which can be found on the website dvekrajiny.sng.sk. Despite the website being so far only in Slovak; we believe you’ll have no problem clicking your way through the beautiful pictures.
